DESTINATION NEW YORK CITY
I collected the New York Magazine ‘Reasons to Love New York’ annual editions when I lived there full time. Their much-beloved yearly reasons vary and include art, culture, food, fashion, the best Mom-and-Pop shops in the city and more. I think the editors of these issues said it best when they wrote, “…this city, with its jostling can-do dreamers, is where the future is always made…” And being back last week to appear on the TODAY Show, made me realize how much (I too) cherish this magical city.
Here are a few of the reasons I love New York…
A favorite corner bookshop in the West Village.
The oldest apothecary in America. And the place where I stock up on cult favorite beauty essentials.
The windows at Bergdorf Goodman. (I can’t believe I actually caught someone working on them!)
Central Park.
Brownstone tree-lined streets.
The Meatpacking District.
My weakness. NY pizza.
Magnolia Bakery.
Coffee at 71 Irving.
Street flowers.
Topshop.
Vintage shopping at What Goes Around Comes Around.
The Gramercy Park Hotel.
